Tool and equipment

In addition to the tools listed in chapter "Basic rules for work", to perform the operations described in this chapter, you will need the following:

• Brake hose clamp - to prevent loss of fluid when a brake hose or tube is disconnected
• Brake bleeder under pressure (e.g. Gunson's Eezibleed) - to remove air from the hydraulic system.
• A thin hose and a transparent vessel - to collect fluid when bleeding the brakes.
• tire pump (or other source of compressed air) - to remove the piston from the caliper cylinder.
• Disc Brake Pad Remover - For removing the brake pads from the caliper (not necessary)
• Piston installation template - to check the position of the brake caliper piston (can be made independently, see text).
