- Test lamp and jumpers - for checking electrical circuits. You can make a test lamp yourself by soldering wires to a 12-volt light bulb and installing clips or probes on their ends. To check some of the more complex nodes, you will need a tester with current, voltage and resistance scales, which can simultaneously perform the functions of an UZSK meter and a tachometer.
- A small screwdriver, a set of wrenches, pliers and wire cutters - for stripping insulation.
- Soldering iron - for soldering some connections, for example, starter brushes.
- Small puller - for removing the generator rotor bearing and mandrel (a piece of tubing of the right size) - to install the bearing.
