Tool and equipment

In addition to the basic set of tools described in the chapter "Basic rules for work", to perform the operations described in this chapter, it is useful to have the following:

• big pallet (trough) and a funnel - for draining and pouring oil into the transmission.
• Tester and test lamp - to check the starter interlock switch.
• An automatic transmission is a very heavy unit, much heavier than a conventional manual transmission, so when removing the transmission from the vehicle, you will need a good mobile jack and large stands to securely lift and secure the vehicle (see chapter "Basic rules for work").
