Pre-October 1976 Models: Remove door trim.
Remove door handle (read next section).
Unscrew two screws (with cross grooves) on the narrow side of the door above and below the lock.
Turn the detached door lock in such a way that the pull rod can be removed from the inside door handle.
Models after October 1976: unscrew both screws (with internal hexagons) door lock.
Block the lock and pull it out a little.
Insert a screwdriver through the hole at the bottom of the door lock, due to which the lever shaft is blocked. This is the only way to remove the connecting rod to the inner handle.
Pull the safety lever from the top of the bushing.
When installing, the door handle of the lock must be in the locked state.
