Removing trims and wheel arch extensions

Protective overlays of back wheels of model "Golf" and wheel arch extensions "Jetta" fastened with the help of so-called clamping washers, plastic clamps, as well as self-tapping screws.

Rear wheel arch linings: From the inside, remove the clamping washers from the pins of the protective corners.

In most cases, at least one of these thin pins breaks.

Since there is little benefit from gluing, a new overlay is needed.

In models that appeared after August 1978, at the bottom, at the protective lining, you still need to push out the plastic pin.

To fasten the clamping washers, press them with a small socket head.

Loosen hexagon head screws on wheel arch extensions.

Remove extensions.
