Seat back latch repair

If the seat back cannot be folded forward on a two-door model, one of the links is stretched or broken.

Remove the front seat.

Detach the release catches under the seat frame so that the backrest can be folded forward.

Straighten the metal tabs on the underside of the back frame. Do not use tools with sharp edges, otherwise the seat upholstery may be damaged.

Remove the release lever button from the side.

Remove the back cover from the tongues and slide it up.

Insert the bent ends of the unlocking grips into the holes.

If the rod has become too long, it can be installed in another hole at the unlocking lever.



The unlocking rod on the right and left moves through a plastic eye. If there is no plastic lug, the rod may fray.

Check the operation of the latch, if necessary, move the end of the rod again at the lever.
