Removing the exhaust pipe

For connecting the exhaust pipe to the cylinder head, the same instructions apply as for the threaded connection between it and the front exhaust pipe. Without the use of a rust dissolver, the bolts at the cylinder head are easily torn off. This is a decade error because without removing the cylinder head (it is hardly possible to drill out the remains of the bolts.

Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the knee.

Loosen exhaust pipe bolts and remove.

Remove seal residue from cylinder head and exhaust pipe flange.

When assembling, a new seal is installed.
