Drain fuel.
Remove the tank sensor cover in the trunk.
Sensor of fuel quantity readings (4) visible after opening the lid (1) trunk and lid opening (2). Once the plug is removed (3). You can disconnect the tank sensor using the pipe wrench shown in the illustration.
Remove hoses and plug from fuel tank sensor.
Raise the rear of the car and place it on stands.
Disconnect the brake hoses leading from the rear pipes to the rear axle (see "Brake Hose Replacement", chapter "brakes").
Loosen 2 rear axle locknuts on the right and left. Turn axle down and support.
Remove the two retaining rings, one in front of the main muffler and one behind it.
Dismantle the hose between the filler pipe and the fuel tank.
From the bottom of the body, unscrew the nuts of the tank support bands.
Lower the tank and remove.
When installing, check whether the non-return valve moves easily at the bottom, near the tank filling hole.
The valve must be installed in a hanging position.
If necessary, remove the tubular insert with reinforced flap and turn.

After connecting the brake hoses, bleed the brake system (see section "Bleeding the brake system", chapter "brakes").
