The link that connects the accelerator pedal to the fuel pump bends very easily. Hard travel of the accelerator pedal is a clear warning signal of a malfunction. Soon you will see that the traction is broken. When mounting a new rod, handle it very carefully.
Unscrew the 2 nuts of the fuel pump support; detach the guide.
On newer models, remove the fuse at the cable sheath attachment point.
In the cabin, remove the cover under the dashboard or glove box (see section "Removing drawers and lids", chapter "Salon").
Near the accelerator pedal, disconnect the bracket at the bent end of the "gas" traction.
Pull out eyelets "gas" rods from the guide at the accelerator pedal lever.
Push the rubber grommet out of the baffle from the engine compartment into the vehicle interior.
take out "gas" traction.
When you insert the rubber bushing of the new rod into the baffle, make sure that the rod is not bent.
