Accelerator pedal drive in a car with an automatic transmission. The numbers indicate: 1 - lever for adjusting the speed of the high pressure fuel pump; 2 - idle stop; 3 - stop screw "full throttle"; 4 - idle spring; 5 - transition spring.
Set control lever to position "R". In Sleep pump cover.
Measure or set the idle speed and maximum speed.
On the left, at the gearbox, unscrew the adjusting nut of the accelerator pedal linkage; remove the accelerator pedal link.
Remove the safety clip and support pad from the fuel pump speed control lever.
Set to 32±1 mm stroke of the spherical head (from idle stop to stop "full throttle") by moving the head in the elongated hole of the fuel pump speed control lever.
Fix the support pad and the safety clip.
Loosen the lock nuts on the cable tie support at the fuel pump.
Set the transmission lever to neutral position.
Now pull the cable sheath back (th is to the left) near the fuel pump. Do not pull idle spring.
In this position, tighten the locknuts of the support.
Install the accelerator pedal again.
With the engine stopped, the assistant should now fully depress the accelerator pedal (Kikdown).
Unscrew the adjusting nut of the accelerator pedal link at the bottom of the gearbox until the gearbox operating lever is fully pressed against the rear stop (i.e. to the left). The adapter spring at the fuel pump must be spring loaded.
Lock the pedal link adjusting bolt again.
The accelerator pedal link must not be displaced.
If the accelerator pedal actuator is properly adjusted, the following three conditions are met:
- 1. In the idle position, the fuel pump speed control lever must be pressed against the idle stop. The idle spring must not be tensioned: the operating lever of the gearbox must be in the neutral position:
- 2. In position "full throttle" (the accelerator pedal is pressed almost to the end of the pressure) the lever for adjusting the speed of the fuel pump must be in contact with the stop "full throttle", but the transition spring must not be under tension:
- 3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (Kikdown) - the operating lever of the gearbox should be in contact with the stop; The fuel pump adapter spring must be tensioned.
