Side decorative cornice

In models up to August 1989, the side decorative cornices were glued to the body. Before dismantling, the cornice must be heated with a stream of hot air until the adhesive becomes plastic. With the help of a fishing line, the cornice is separated from the body. Before installing the side decorative cornice, the tin surface should be cleaned with gasoline. Wipe and heat up to 35°C.

A new decorative cornice must be heated to a temperature of about 60°C. Remove the protective foil and attach to the body, paying attention to its correct position. Firmly press the cornice to the body.

Since September 1989, decorative cornices have been fastened with latches. By lifting the cornice at the attachment point with a screwdriver, it can be easily removed. Be careful not to scratch the varnish. The cornice is installed by pushing the cornice latches into their respective slots.
