The central locking system automatically engages and disengages the fuel tank flap lock. In the event of a malfunction of the central locking system, the damper can be opened manually.
Fuel tank capacity is approximately 55 liters (fuel pump approx. 7 l total capacity).
When filling the fuel tank, hold the fuel filler cap with the flap as shown in the illustration.
To safely fill the fuel tank, the fuel nozzle must be used correctly. Always insert the gun into the fuel filler neck with the spring-loaded cap fully open. Check that the gun nozzle is not tilted.
Do not fill the tank too quickly to avoid foaming of the fuel and, as a result, an early shutdown of the fuel supply.
Once the gun is turned off and working properly, the tank is considered full. Do not attempt to add fuel, as when the foaming area is filled, fuel may subsequently leak out when heated, polluting the environment.
Be sure to close the tank cap properly by turning it fully clockwise to prevent fuel from leaking or evaporating from the fuel tank.
Perform a lid lock on a vehicle without a central locking system.
Attention: Never transport additional fuel in canisters in the vehicle, which kind of containers, full or empty, may leak, cause an explosion or fire in a traffic accident.
