- Inspect tires for wear and damage no more than every 3,000 km.
- Damage to wheels or tires is not always easy to spot. If you think your car's tire or wheel is damaged, the best thing to do is to have it replaced as soon as possible. Internal tire damage can also lead to wheel failure. Contact your Volkswagen dealer for advice and assistance.
- Be sure to mark them before dismantling. Due to the need to maintain the same direction of rotation, the tires must be refitted on the same side of the vehicle.
- Store the removed tires in a cool, dry and mostly dark place. Tires not on wheels (sbunitsa) must be kept in a standing position.
Attention: Tires wear out gradually. Tires that are over 6 years old should only be used in emergency situations (in case of breakdowns on the way) with the utmost care.
Avoid damage to tires, rims and wheels. If you need to drive over a curb or other obstacle, drive slowly, keeping your wheels as straight as possible. Inspect tires as often as possible for signs of uneven wear or damage.
Remove any foreign objects stuck in the tires.
Be sure to replace worn or damaged tires.
Replace the dirt caps of the leak nipple.
Keep oil, fuel, brake fluid, etc. away from tires.
Maintain the correct pressure in the tires.
