V-belts/spark plugs


Note:V-belts, compared to all other components of the engine, are subjected to the greatest stress during its operation. Therefore, very high quality requirements are imposed on the belts.

When replacing a belt, it is not enough to simply install another belt of the same size. For maximum safety, use only Volkswagen V-belts specifically designed for your vehicle. The necessary belts can be purchased from a Volkswagen dealer.

Spark plugs must be replaced in accordance with the maintenance schedule. When replacing spark plugs ahead of schedule, pay attention to the following:

• The engine, spark plugs and ignition system are mutually adjusted. To ensure trouble-free operation of the engine and to avoid engine damage, use only Volkswagen spark plugs. It is especially important to pay attention to the number of electrodes and their calorific value.
• Since spark plug specifications may change for some reason, it is recommended that you purchase spark plugs from a Volkswagen dealer who has the most up-to-date information.
