Fuse replacement
To avoid damage to the electrical system, turn off all lights, accessories, and remove the ignition key before replacing a fuse.
- If your vehicle has a knee brace, insert the ignition key into the side slot of the cover (see left picture) and, using the lever method, pull the lid down.
- If your vehicle does not have a knee brace, use a coin to rotate the lock by approximately 90° (top drawing) and pull it out a little. Then pull the cover down.
- Review the list of fuses below to determine which fuse belongs to the component that failed.
- Replace a blown fuse, which can be identified by a burnt metal bar.
- Replace the blown fuse with another one that has exactly the same rating in amps.
Caution: Do not use a fuse with a higher ampere rating. This may damage the electrical part of the vehicle and cause a fire. If the fuse is constantly blown, it makes no sense to replace it. You need to find the real cause of the short circuit or overload. Under no circumstances wrap fuses in tin foil or wire, as this may cause serious damage to any part of the electrical circuit and cause a fire.
- On vehicles with a knee brace, press down on the cover until it locks into place with the side latches.
- If there is no knee brace, before installing the cover, turn the latch 90°to its original position, close the cover and push the latch up.

The digital designation on the surface of the fuse is expressed in amperes.
Automatic fuses
All electric window lifters have one common automatic fuse, which, after tripping due to overload (e.g. frostbite) turns on automatically after a few seconds.
