Installing and replacing the radio

If you want to install or replace a factory-installed radio in your car, please note the following:

• The connectors are designed to connect a Volkswagen radio.

When installing a radio of any other company, you may experience the following difficulties:

1. The radio may not fit the niche specially made for it.
2. Electrical connectors may not be compatible.
3. Other types of connection terminals may be required.

• Therefore, when installing or replacing the radio, it is recommended that you contact a dealer authorized by Volkswagen for assistance. They are the most knowledgeable about the technical features of your car. They can also supply you with Volkswagen radios with the necessary installation components and operating instructions.

Caution: Incorrect installation of the radio can cause a short circuit, which in turn can start a fire.
