Pic. 7.3. External hinge included
1 - small clamping belt; 2 - drive shaft; 3 - rubber casing; 4 - a large belt of the casing; 5 - basket; 6 - hub; 7 - short axle shaft; 8 - concave washer; 9 - conical washer; 10 - spring ring; 11 - hinge body.
27. Install concave washer 8 and conical washer 9 (pic. 7.3). Push the spring ring 10 into the groove of the axle shaft (photo 7.4).
28. Drive the hinge onto the axle shaft with a copper hammer until the spring ring pops up. Then remove the hinge from the axle shaft (photo 7.12).
29. Squeeze the remaining grease into the joint, then install the casing. During the installation of the rubber casing on the hinge, the casing is compressed. The reduced pressure that forms does not allow the casing to align to its normal shape.
When the wheel is twisted, the folds of the casing are drawn inward and may be damaged. Therefore, especially on models with a 90 mm joint, it is necessary to lift the cover with a screwdriver before installing the small clamping band to equalize the pressure, and then install the cover normally.
