Replacing the parking brake cable

Support the car at the rear, release the parking brake.

Remove extension of the average console in salon.

Loosen the locknut and adjusting nut on the equalizer.

Remove brake drums.

Remove the brake pads and unhook the parking brake cable.

Loosen the cable clamp, pull it out of the guide tube on the body, release the cable wire on the body and remove the cable from the brake shield.

After the new parking brake cable is mounted on the parking brake lever, lubricate the cable entry point into the guide tube on the body with moisture-resistant grease.

After reassembly, adjust the parking brake (see below).
