Hall sensor test (electronic ignition systems)

Test preconditions: The TSZ-H system switching unit has been tested; the ignition coil is checked, the wire between the switching unit of the TSZ-H system and the ignition distributors is checked; the connectors of the ignition distributor, the Hall sensor and the switching unit of the TSZ-H system have been checked.

Take out a high-voltage wire of the plug 4 from the distributor of ignition (middle wire) and connect via auxiliary wire to «weight». The cross section of the auxiliary wire must be the same as that of the high voltage wire.

Remove the rubber boot from the TSZ-H system switching unit connector. The connector remains connected.

Attention! The given setpoints refer to an ambient temperature of 0 to 40°C.

Connect a voltmeter to pins 6 and 3 of the connected connector of the TSZ-H switch box.

Turn on the ignition.

Turn the engine by hand in the direction of working rotation (clockwise). In this case, the voltmeter readings should vary from 0 to at least 2 V, depending on whether the hood is in the air gap of the Hall sensor or not.

In case of deviations from the specified values, replace the Hall sensor.
