Gearbox replacement

The five-speed gearbox installed on cars with 1.3-liter gasoline engines has catalog number 085. Removing and installing the gearbox is the same as in the case of a four-speed gearbox (model 084).

Observe the following tightening torques for screw connections:

• gearbox with engine - 55 Nm;
• drive shafts - 45 Nm;
• upper cross member to gearbox - 60 Nm;
• rear bracket to the gearbox - 60 Nm;
• rubber-metal support to the bracket and body - 60 Nm;
• upper cross member to the body - 60 Nm.
