Dismantling and installation of hand brake cables

Disconnect the hand brake cable nuts 8 located on the outside of the hand brake equalizing lever 5 by unscrewing the nuts 3 and 4 and pulling the cables out of the lever.

Disconnect the handbrake cables from the lever on the rear brake seats, release the cables wherever they have been secured and pull them out.

Installation of handbrake cables is carried out in the reverse order to dismantling. You should pay attention to that. that the position of the handbrake cables on each side is different. The handbrake cables on models with rear disc brakes are made specifically for this version.

After replacing the handbrake cables, tighten both adjusting nuts on the handbrake equalizer lever evenly until they are too tight. Check the position of the cables and, if necessary, adjust according to the method described for the version of the corresponding brakes on the rear axle.
