Remove the ignition distributor cover from the distributor and remove all parts.
Pull the plug of the Hall sensor from the wall of the distributor. In this case, to release the plug, the springy clamps are necessarily compressed.
Rotate the engine until the No. 1 piston is at top dead center of the compression stroke, and mark the position of the rotor tip with a scriber on the outer edge of the distributor housing. To rotate, install a replacement socket wrench on the bolt on the inside of the crankshaft vibration damper. To make it easier to crank the engine, you can unscrew the spark plugs.
Remove the two bolts and pull the distributor horizontally out of the cylinder head. Bolts with an internal hexagon are used for fastening.
Remove the seal. If the engine does not turn over or no repairs are made to the ignition distributor, the distributor is reset to its original position.
If the ignition distributor is installed after the engine has been overhauled or the engine has been turned over in the interim, proceed as follows.
With the engine installed, rotate it until the No. 1 cylinder piston is at top dead center of the compression stroke, i.e. both valves must be closed (if the cylinder head cover is removed), or rotate the engine until the marker «ABOUT» the flywheel will not be in line with the installation mark on the window.
With the engine removed, turn it until the groove in the crankshaft vibration damper (pulley) will not line up with the arrow on the protective sheet of the control system.
These instructions apply to the assembly of the engine after repair or other work, during which the distributor was removed with the engine removed. The camshaft catch is in the correct position when the engine is at top dead center (1st cylinder).
The ignition distributor rotor is rotated so that it points to the marked mark on the edge of the distributor housing.
The distributor is installed in this position and screwed with two bolts having heads with internal hexagons.
The plug is reinserted into the distributor and the spring clips are clamped.
Spark plug cable guides are re-mounted on the cylinder head, plug connectors are installed (candles are screwed in, and if they were removed, then before that they must be checked well) and reinstall the distributor cap.
