To prevent electric shock to a person, and also not to damage the ignition system, the following rules must be observed during all work.
Do not disconnect the ignition cable or touch it with your hands while the engine is running or starting. The voltage is very high.
Disconnect any wire from the ignition system only when the engine is not running. and the ignition is off. This also applies to connecting control and measuring devices, whereby the ignition must also be switched off.
If the middle cable is pulled out of the distributor, it must be immediately connected to the housing using a suitable extension cable.
If this is not done, then in no case crank the engine with the starter (this is sometimes required for some checks).
You should refuse to facilitate starting the engine using a device for accelerated battery charging, since not every device is suitable for this purpose. If, however, this method is nevertheless used, then its duration should not exceed 1 minute at a maximum voltage of 16.5 V.
Disconnect the battery when doing electrical welding (What. needless to say, must also be produced due to the three-phase alternator).
If the vehicle is towed due to difficulties in the operation of the ignition system, the system control device is injected and the ignition system must be turned off by pulling out its fitting.
Only cables, spark plugs and spark plug plugs designed for the electronic ignition system must be used.
If it is to be replaced with a new ignition distributor rotor, then only the part intended for this must be installed. The rotor is marked and can be easily recognized.
