Setting the ignition timing

The ignition timing is controlled electronically in conjunction with the fuel injection system and so that the needs of the engine are met under all other conditions. Although the ignition timing can be controlled in any workshop of the company "Volkswagen", nevertheless, electronic test devices are used for control, in which the ignition moment is displayed in digital form. This control takes place during a general check of idling, a component of CO gas and the ignition timing.

To expand your knowledge, I would like to mention that during normal operation, the ignition moment is in the range of 6-7.5°, before top dead center.
