Intermediate shaft

To dismantle the intermediate shaft, you need to remove the engine from the car. The cylinder head can be left mounted.

The O-ring flange is provided with a recirculation hole on the underside and must be assembled with this in mind. The flange determines the axial clearance of the shaft if the clearance exceeds 0.25 mm. flange needs to be replaced. An O-ring holds the flange on the motor side.

Replace the O-ring on the inside of the flange if it has been unscrewed. To mount the O-ring, first install the shaft. and then put on the O-ring according to the method described for the crankshaft front oil seal ring. When mounting, tighten the screws to a tightening torque of 25 Nm.
