Removal and installation of the door lock

The door lock, power window and loudspeaker are mounted on the same door bracket.

Removing the door lock can only be done together with the bracket.

Removing

1. The door bracket can only be removed after the door glass has been released from the power window retainers. To do this, lower the door glass to the level of the technological holes in the bracket and release the latches.

2. If electric windows are installed in the door and they are not working at the moment for some reason, you can lower the door glass manually.

3. Remove an upholstery of a forward door.

4. Remove the lock cylinder housing.

5. Release the lock on the outside door handle.

6. Remove the bracket with the units from the front door.



7. Using a mandrel, release the latches (1) door lock fasteners.



8. Using a screwdriver (3), separate the door lock from the door bracket (4) with adapter bracket (1 - bracket, 2 - cable).




9. Remove the safety rod from the door lock (1), for which turn the door lock in the direction of the arrow (2 - cable traction).

10. Release the fastening of the cable tie sheath to the door lock.

11. Rotate the cable tie 90°and remove it from the hole in the door lock lever.

Installation

1. Move the lock lever in the direction of the arrow (1 - lever, 2 - spring, 3 - screwdriver).

2. Using a screwdriver blade (3), hang the spring (2) on the door lock by moving it in the directions shown by the arrows.

3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

4. Check the operation of the door lock.
