Removal, adjustment and installation of the hatch opening drive mechanism

Removal and installation of the sunroof drive mechanism can only be carried out with the sunroof closed.

Removing

1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.



2. Using the blade of a thin screwdriver, remove the cover (1), covering the sunroof drive mechanism.

3. Release the spring clip and disconnect the sunroof drive mechanism electrical connector.



4. unscrew the screws (indicated by arrows), securing the sunroof drive mechanism motor.

Warning: The screws are coated so new screws must be used for installation.

Adjustment

1. Adjustment of the original position of the sunroof must be made if the sunroof drive mechanism does not stop in the home position or if the sunroof was opened manually. To adjust it is necessary to remove the sunroof drive mechanism.


2. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

3. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof motor.

4. Press the preset switch, which will turn on the sunroof close mode.

5. Pull out the preset switch, which will activate the sunroof close mode.

6. Turn the presetting rotary switch to position "hatch open".

7. Turn the presetting rotary switch to position "hatch closed". As a result, the engine will automatically reset and turn off.

8. Install the sunroof motor in this position. In addition, disconnect the electrical connector from the engine and remove the ground wire from the battery.

Installation

1. Install the sunroof motor and secure with new screws to 3.5 Nm.

2. Connect electrical connectors.

3. Install the cover and fix it with a spring clip.

4. Connect ground wire to battery.
