1. Open the hood and place a clean rag under the corners of the hood to protect the vehicle's paintwork when the hood is removed.
2. Disconnect the hose from the washer nozzle and electrical connectors.
3. Tie a thin, long cord to the hose and electrical connector.
4. Pull the electrical wiring and hose out of the hood and untie the cord from them, leaving it in the hood. In the future, the cord will be required to tighten the electrical wiring and hose into the hood.
5. Remove hinge cover (14) from the spring clips of the right hinge of the hood.
6. Using a marker, mark the position of the hinges on the hood.
7. Have an assistant hold the hood open and disconnect the hood air strut from the hood.
8. To do this, use a screwdriver blade to lift the spring clip and remove the upper part of the rack from the spherical hinge on the hood.
9. If it is necessary to remove the air hood support from the vehicle, remove the lower part of the support in the same way.
10. When removing the air hood support, do not completely remove the spring clip from the ball joint, otherwise the spring clip will be deformed and the air support will have to be replaced.
11. Remove the bolts securing the left and right hinges of the hood and, being careful, remove the hood.
12. Check the condition of the hood hinges for play and wear and replace them if necessary.
Installation
1. Using two assistants, install the hood and screw in the hood hinge bolts by hand.
2. Align the hood hinges according to the previously made marks and tighten the hood mounting bolts.
3. Fix the pneumatic stop on the hood, for which purpose press the stop with force until it is fixed on the spherical hinge of the hood.
4. Install the hinge cover and fix it with a spring clip.
5. Tie the electrical connector and washer hose to the cord and pull them into the hood.
