Removal and installation of the lock of a cowl

Elements of fastening of a cable of the lock of a cowl

• 1 - cable for opening the hood lock;
• 2 - sealing sleeve;
• 3 - nut;
• 4 - lever for opening the hood lock;
• 5 - self-tapping screw;
• 6 - bracket;
• 7 - cable holder for opening the hood lock;
• 8 - hood lock

Removing

1. Remove the grille.

2. Remove the front bumper.



3. Unscrew 5 bolts (arrows), fixing the bracket (1) hood latch to front cross member (2).

4. Remove the hood lock bracket.



5. Using a screwdriver blade (3), disconnect the cable (2) hood lock (1) from spring clips (arrow - direction of disconnection of the hood latch cable).

6. Disconnect the electrical connector for the microswitch.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
