Replace brushes that have hardened, cracked, or silicone coated rubber bands.
Removing
1. Raise the wiper arm away from the windshield. Rotate the wiper blade 90°to the wiper arm.
2. Press the wiper blade latch (arrow A), then move the brush along the lever (arrow B) and, moving it in the opposite direction, remove it from the wiper arm.
3. On both sides, squeeze the steel reinforcements of the wiper rubber band and remove the wiper rubber band from the end of the brush.
Installation
1. Insert a new rubber band without steel reinforcements into the lower clips of the wiper blade.
2. Insert the steel reinforcements into the first groove of the rubber band.
3. Using pliers, squeeze the steel reinforcements together with the rubber band and insert them into the upper clip of the wiper blade. In this case, the antennae of the clamp must enter the latches on the rubber band (the arrow shows the recess of the latch).
4. Establish brushes of a screen wiper on levers in sequence, return to removal. In this case, the latch should clearly fix the brush on the wiper arm.
5. Lower the wiper arm to the windshield.
