Front brake with FN-3 caliper
- 1 - cross-head screw, 4 Nm;
- 2 - brake disc. If replacement is necessary, replace both front brake discs. Before removing the brake disc, the caliper must be removed;
- 3 - brake pads;
- 4 - spring latch;
- 5 - caliper holder;
- 6 - support;
- 7 - guide bolt, 28 Nm;
- 8 - protective cover;
- 9 - brake hose with a hollow bolt end, 35 Nm. When replacing brake pads, do not unscrew the brake hose;
- 10 - knurled head bolt, 125 Nm. Before screwing in the bolt, clean the bearing surface of the bolt head and the thread;
- 11 - rotary fist;
- 12 - a bolt with an internal hexagon, 8 Nm;
- 13 - ABS sensor;
- 14 - partition;
- 15 - bolt, 10 Nm;
- 16 - wheel bearing;
- 17 - retaining ring;
- 18 - wheel hub with ABS sensor rotor
Order of execution
Warning: Be sure to replace all pads on one vehicle axle, even if only one pad has reached the wear limit. If the brake pads are to be reinstalled, they must be marked before removal.
1. Loosen the front wheel mounting bolts, then raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands.
2. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the wheel.
3. Remove the dust covers covering the caliper guide bolts.
4. Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the fixing spring from the outside of the caliper.
5. Unscrew the caliper guide bolts.
6. Remove the caliper and use a soft wire to tie it to the A-pillar.
Warning: The brake caliper must not hang from the brake hose. The brake hose must not be stretched or kinked.
7. Remove the outer brake pad from the caliper holder.
8. By pulling on the inner brake pad, remove the pad spring retainer from the caliper piston.
