Connecting a hose to remove gases from the battery generated during its operation
The hose designed to remove gases released during battery operation is shown by an arrow.
Battery mounting elements
- 1 - support bracket;
- 2 - base plate;
- 3 - bolt;
- 4 - bracket
Order of execution
Warning: When installing the battery, do not pinch the hose designed to remove gases released during battery operation (see fig. Connecting a hose to remove gases from the battery generated during its operation). The vent hose has a valve that protects the battery from backfire.
1. Install one side of the battery on the support bracket (see fig. Battery mounting elements).
2. When installing the battery, make sure that the locking tab (1) at the base of the battery was installed in the groove of the support bracket (shown by arrow).
3. On the second side, fix the battery with a mounting plate and screw it with a bolt, tightening it with a torque of 20 Nm.
4. Check that the battery is securely fastened, as otherwise the battery life may be significantly reduced.
5. Connect the wire end to the positive battery terminal and tighten the terminal bolt to 6 Nm. Install the fuse holder housing onto the battery, making sure the conductive strip is on the positive battery terminal bolt.
6. Fix the fuse holder housing to the battery housing.
7. Screw a bolt of fastening of an electroconductive plate to the positive plug of the accumulator.
8. Install the fuses in the fuse holder.
9. Connect the electrical connector to the fuse holder.
10. Connect the ground wire to the battery and tighten the fastening bolt to 6 Nm.
11. If the car has a coded radio, reprogram it.
12. Set the time on the clock.
13. Activate the power windows:
- lock the vehicle from the outside through the driver's door or the front passenger's door. Check that windows and doors are securely closed;
- re-lock the car with the key, while holding the key in the closed position for at least 1 second.
Warning: If there is a defect in the power windows, then the illumination of the control buttons on the door will flash.
