Towing should be carried out under the following conditions.
To tow the vehicle, first remove the right grille at the bottom of the front bumper and screw in the towing eye. The towing eye is located with the on-board tool.
Press with your fingers firmly in the direction of arrow 1 on the upper rib and at the same time pull out the grate in the direction of arrow 2.
The lug has a left-hand thread.
Use the correct tow rope.
Turn the ignition key to position "included" so that the steering column lock is released and that the direction indicators and brake lights work.
Before towing, release the handbrake and place the shift lever in neutral.
Note that more force is required to depress the brake pedal, as the brake booster only works when the engine is running.
Models with power steering will also require more force to turn the steering wheel.
On models with an automatic transmission, take special precautions, otherwise the transmission can be easily damaged.
