Check for fuel in the tank.
Check for moisture on electrical components under the hood. Turn off the ignition, then wipe the wet components with a dry cloth. Apply water repellent spray (WD-40 or equivalent) to electrical connectors. Pay special attention to the ignition coil wiring connector and high voltage wires. Diesel engines do not usually suffer from this "sickness".
