Make sure the ignition is off before connecting an external battery.
Make sure that all electrical equipment (headlights, heaters, windshield wipers, etc.) off.
Take into account all special precautions prescribed on the battery.
Cars must not touch each other.
Make sure the shift lever is in neutral (or PARK in case of automatic transmission).
Order of execution
1. Connect one end of the heavy gauge red wire to the positive terminal of the discharged battery.
2. Connect the other end of the red wire to the positive terminal of the external battery.
3. Connect one end of the heavy gauge black wire to the negative terminal of the external battery.
4. Connect the other end of the heavy gauge black wire to the powertrain or bodywork of the vehicle being started, away from the battery.
5.Make sure the wires do not come into contact with the fan, drive belts, or other rotating parts of the vehicle.
6.Start the engine using an external source (while the engine of the source car must be idling). After starting the car engine with a dead battery, disconnect the wires in reverse order.
