V-belts

V-belts are one of the most stressed car parts during operation. Therefore, particularly high demands are placed on the quality of V-belts.

When replacing a V-belt, it is not enough to install the first belt of the same size that comes across. For safety reasons, only original Volkswagen V-belts should be used.

Some engines use wear-resistant ribbed V-belts that require only a check of their condition during routine maintenance and, if necessary, adjustment of the tension.
