Location of the fuse holder above the battery
- 1 - fastening of a negative wire;
- 2 - hex nut;
- 3 - fastening of a positive wire;
- 4 - fuses.
The battery is almost maintenance-free under normal vehicle operating conditions. At high ambient temperatures, it is recommended to check the electrolyte level in the battery from time to time. You should also check the electrolyte level while charging the battery.
The battery is located in the engine compartment.
Order of execution
1. Open the cover to access the battery.
2. The electrolyte level must always be between the MIN and MAX marks on the longitudinal sides of the battery.
3. When the electrolyte level drops, add distilled water to the appropriate jars up to the MAX mark.
4. The middle battery plugs are covered by the fuse holder. On both sides, as indicated by the arrows, squeeze the fuse holder cover and fold it to the side.
5. Unscrew and remove the negative cable from the battery (1, see fig. Location of the fuse holder above the battery).
6. Loosen the positive wire.
7. Flip out the front clip first and then the back clip from the battery. To do this, the clamps should be slightly squeezed from the battery.
8. Pull up the fuse holder together with the positive cable from the battery.
9. Unscrew the plugs and add distilled water to the battery banks.
10. Do not fill the electrolyte above the required level, otherwise the electrolyte will flow out through the vent. This can damage the paintwork and corrode the bodywork.
11. After topping up the electrolyte, tightly close the corresponding battery banks with stoppers.
