1. Raise the car and secure it on stands.
2. Remove the plugs from the inspection holes of the brake shield. With a portable lamp, through the inspection holes, illuminate the brake pads and check their condition and thickness.
3. If the thickness of the brake pad lining (without metal base) less than 2.5 mm, the pads must be replaced. If it is difficult to determine the condition and thickness of the pads through the inspection hole, remove the wheel and brake drum.
