Removal and installation of one muffler

The location of the prints on the exhaust pipe

• 1, 3 - prints for mounting the clamping bracket;
• 2 - imprints of the place where the exhaust pipe was cut;
• 4 - clamping bracket

Removing

1. Raise the car and secure it on stands.

2. The point of separation of the pipes is shown in the figure by imprints on the exhaust pipe. The middle print indicates where the exhaust pipe was cut. The edge marks are used to orient the installation of the clamping bracket.

3. Cut the exhaust pipe at the indicated location.

4. Release the muffler from the rubber mounts and remove it from under the car.

Installation

1. Install the muffler into the rubber mounts.

2. To connect the pipes of the exhaust system, a spare part is used - a clamping bracket. Clamps are not reusable. Install the clamp clip on the exhaust pipe connection so that the ends of the clamp clip are located near the outermost marks on the exhaust pipes.

3. Align the exhaust system.

4. Tighten the mounting bracket bolts to 40 Nm.
