Removal and installation of glow plugs

Removing

1. Disconnect electrical wires from glow plugs.

2. Unscrew the glow plugs.

Installation

1. Screw in the glow plug and tighten to 15 Nm.



2. Do not exceed the tightening torque of the glow plug, as otherwise the annular gap between the working and threaded part of the glow plug will be reduced or completely closed. The normal value of the annular gap is 0.5 mm. Reducing the annular gap leads to a quick failure of the glow plug (1 - glow plugs with a normal annular gap, 2 - without an annular gap).

3. Connect the electrical wires to the glow plugs.
