Fuel filter on models with petrol engines
- 1 - fuel filter;
- 2 - fuel hose;
- 3 - fuel hose;
- 4 - holder;
- 5 - bolt;
- 6 - arrow on the fuel filter housing indicating the direction of fuel flow;
- 7 - to the fuel line of the engine
Removing
1. The fuel filter is fixed on the bottom of the car in front of the fuel tank.
2. Raise the rear of the car and secure it on stands. Place an appropriate container under the fuel filter.
3. Loosen the clamps securing the fuel hoses to the fuel filter.
4. Close the hose connection with a rag and remove the fuel hose from the fuel filter.
5. Remove the fuel filter holder bolt.
6. Remove the fuel filter from the holder.
Installation
1. Install the new fuel filter so that the arrow on the filter housing aligns with the direction of fuel flow through the fuel filter.
2. Screw on the fuel filter holder.
3. Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel filter and secure them with clamps.
4. Start the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.
Warning: On models with 2.3-I engine with automatic transmission, the accelerator cable controls the throttle and the switch located on the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
