Rear view mirror housing — removal and installation

Removing

1. Remove the mirror glass.

2. Tilt the mirror housing forward.

3. Insert a screwdriver under the latch 2 and press the latch (see illustration).



4. Move the mirror body 1 slightly forward and lift it up relative to the support (see illustration 76.3).

5. Press the latches 2 on the support with a screwdriver and remove the mirror cover 1 by pushing it back in the direction of the arrow (see illustration).



6. Remove, if necessary, the lower part of the mirror housing from the support.

Installation

7. Install, if removed, the lower part of the mirror housing on the support and secure with a screw.

8. Reinstall and secure the trim to the mirror support.

9. Put the mirror housing on top of the support and fix it.

10. Reinstall the mirror glass.

Touran cars

Removing

11. Remove glass of a mirror.

12. Tilt the mirror forward.

13. Unscrew the two screws 2 and remove the mirror body 1 from the support 3, pushing the body up (see illustration).



14. Remove the turn signal repeater from the mirror housing.

15. Unscrew the two screws and remove the bottom of the housing from the support.

The assembly of the mirror is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
