- use a plastic wedge, eg HAZET 1965-20, when loosening plastic trim parts or trims;
- replace damaged fasteners that secure the upholstery and interior trim elements;
- the designation of the pillars of the body is carried out from front to back with the letters A, B, C, D (respectively, front, middle and rear pillars);
- seats, seat belts and airbags are important elements of the vehicle's passive safety system. For safety reasons, it is recommended that you only carry out the work described in this manual on these parts yourself. More complex work should be entrusted to the workshop.
Attention! If, as part of the work on the bodywork, work is carried out on the electrical system, then it is imperative to disconnect the wire terminal «masses» (-) from the negative pole of the battery. Even a simple disconnection of the wiring is considered work on the electrical system.
Attention! If, as part of repair work on the body, it is necessary to perform work on the electrical system, then it is imperative to disconnect the wire terminal «masses» (-) from the negative pole of the battery. As work on the electrical system, the usual disconnection of a wire or terminal is considered.
Attention! Be sure to follow the safety precautions regarding airbags. To prevent the airbag from deploying, before disconnecting the wires of this system, turn off the ignition, and then first disconnect the wire terminal «masses» (-) from the negative pole, and then - the terminal from the positive pole of the battery. In addition, it is recommended to isolate the negative pole of the battery.
Clips and clips - removal and installation
Numerous trim elements and linings are attached using clips and clips.
Removing
1. Remove the retainer using a screwdriver or HAZET 799-4 pliers (see illustration, part A).
2. Release the clip from under the upholstery so that it can be detached (see illustration 1.1, part B).
Installation
Before installing the fasteners and clips, check that they are not damaged and, if necessary, replace them with new ones. After installation, make sure they fit securely.
3. Reinstall the upholstery, and the retainer A in the hole and secure by pressing it.
If the upholstery is fastened with a clip, then install the upholstery so that the clips go into the hole. Press the upholstery and snap the clip.
