Removing
1. Align the wheels and place the steering wheel in neutral.
2. Remove the airbag unit from the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the plugs 1/2 of the angle sensor (see illustration).
4. Unscrew the bolt 3 and remove the steering wheel from the steering column (see illustration 15.3).
Installation
5. Align the wheels.
6. Install the steering wheel on the column so that the reference marks (see arrows in illustration 15.3) on the steering wheel hub and on the steering column matched.
7. Fix the block 2 plug of the rotation angle sensor in the recess on the steering wheel and connect connector 1 to it (see illustration 15.3).
8. Clean bolt 3, lubricate it with a protective lubricant, e.g. LOCTITE 243, and tighten to 50 Nm (see illustration 15.3).
Attention! The steering wheel-to-column bolt can be installed up to 5 times. Each time the steering wheel is removed, make a mark on it with a core.
9. Carry out a test drive. While driving, make sure the steering wheel is in the correct position. Reinstall it if necessary.
10. Install the airbag unit on the steering wheel.
