Opening plug connections

1. Use a screwdriver to press out 1 plug lead (see arrow in illustration) and pull the plug at the same time. When connected, the plug should lock into place with a clearly audible click.

Attention! When disconnecting plugs in hard-to-reach places, we recommend using an angled screwdriver, eg HAZET 818-1, or an equivalent tool.

2. Unclench both leashes to the sides (see arrows in illustration 1.1, part B) and disconnect the plug.

Fiber connections

Fiber optic connections are increasingly being used in the automotive industry due to their high reliability and wide transmission range.

When handling fiber optic connections, certain precautions must be observed.

• disconnect the fiber optic plugs with extreme caution.
• places of reception and transmission of light signals should not be dirty or scratched.
• do not bend, stretch or crush the fiber optic wires.
• protect the connections with protective caps or plugs.
