Attention! 2.0L engines can be fitted with ceramic glow plugs. They can be identified by the absence of a color mark above the hexagon. Such candles are sensitive to shock and require careful handling. If the candle fell from a height of about two meters, then it should be replaced with a new one.
1. Disconnect the spark plug plugs and unscrew the spark plugs using a HAZET 2530 or VW/AUDI-3220 spark plug wrench.
If the glow plug is destroyed, be sure to remove the fragments from the engine, because. otherwise it may damage it.
2. Clean the threads in the spark plug seat before installing.
3. Screw in the glow plugs by hand and then tighten with a wrench to 15 Nm.
4. Connect plugs of candles. After installing the spark plugs, before starting the engine for the first time, check the resistance of the spark plugs on a cold engine. The resistance must not exceed 1 ohm. Otherwise, the spark plug is damaged and must be replaced.
