1. Remove the bracket together with the pedal and clamp it in a soft metal vise.
2. Remove the master cylinder retainer with pliers (see illustration).
3. Install a spacer A about 40 mm long between the clutch pedal and its stop and fix the pedal on the spacer (see illustration).
4. Release clamp B and squeeze the main cylinder out of the bracket, as shown by arrows 1 and 2 in illustration 3.3.
5. Take the pedal to the stop and install the retainer on the master cylinder rod.
6. Install a spacer A about 40 mm long between the clutch pedal and its stop and fix the pedal on the spacer (see illustration 3.3).
7. Install the master cylinder in place, in the bracket, leading it in the opposite direction of arrows 1 and 2 (see illustration 3.3).
8. Press the master cylinder rod until its retainer is secured to the clutch pedal, which will be accompanied by a distinctly audible click.
9. Reinstall the clutch pedal bracket.
