Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the electrical wires from the generator clamps.
Loosen the alternator mounting bolt and the alternator mounting nut to the tension bar and loosen the tension on the alternator drive belt.
Remove the alternator drive belt.
After unscrewing the mounting bolt, remove the generator.
Install the generator in the reverse order of removal, then adjust the tension of the generator drive belt.
