Econometer-pointer shift to higher gear

On some cars there is an econometer-indicator of the transition to the highest gear. Both pointers are combined into one device, located in the center of the instrument cluster above the control lamps. Their indications allow you to save fuel.

The index contains:

• a fixed image of the arrow located in the center and at the bottom of the scale and is an indicator of the transition to a higher gear. When this arrow lights up, you must shift to a higher gear (The indicator only works on vehicles with a manual transmission);
• the movable arrow of the econometer is located in the central part of the scale. When driving in top gear, and on vehicles with automatic transmission when «D» selector lever, the arrow, moving on a scale with the numbers 4, 6, 8 and 10, shows the current fuel consumption in liters per 100 km after the engine has warmed up to normal operating temperature.

Automatic engine start-stop device «Stop-Start»

This device provides an automatic engine stop at each stop of the car and an automatic start of the engine when the movement is resumed. Depending on the configuration, the device activation button can be located to the left of the lower row of control lamps and to the right of the indicators or in the lower left part of the instrument panel.

The device works as follows

Function «Stop». If the device is turned on by pressing the button, the engine automatically stops every time the car stops under the following conditions:

• at this moment, I and II gears and reverse gear are not included;
• driving speed below 5 km/h;
• the engine is idling for more than 2 s;
• up to this point, the speed of the vehicle was above 5 km/h.

Each time the engine is stopped, the rear window heating is turned off, if it was turned on;

• function «Start». The engine starts automatically when the shift lever is moved from neutral to full left. If the engine stalls, the start attempt is repeated after 6 seconds. If none of the gears is engaged within 6 seconds after starting the engine, the device automatically stops the engine.
