Specifications of the cylinder block

The cylinder block is sleeveless, cast iron. In the lower part of the cylinder block there are five supports for the crankshaft main bearing shells. The main bearing caps are finished together with the block and are therefore not interchangeable.

Cylinder diameter, mm:

• nominal: 75.01;
• 1st repair size: 75.26;
• 2nd repair size: 75.51;
• 3rd repair size: 76.01.

Clearance between piston and cylinder for new parts, mm: 0.03.

Maximum allowable clearance (when worn), mm: 0.08.

The cylinder diameter is measured by an inside gauge in three zones both in the longitudinal and transverse directions at a distance of 10 mm from the upper and lower ends of the cylinder and at half its height.
